Oracle Database@AWS now allows advertising aggregate and default (0.0.0.0/0) routes when peering VPCs with ODB networks. This change eliminates the need to manually advertise individual CIDRs for every connected network or Transit Gateway attachment. Customers can now simplify network operations by using a single route to cover all reachable networks.

  • Simplifies ODB peering by allowing aggregate or default route advertisement
  • Removes requirement to list individual CIDRs for each connected network
  • Reduces configuration overhead when extending VPCs or on-prem links to ODB
  • Supports connectivity via AWS Transit Gateway with broader route ranges
